If you havent already heard of it, Kiva is an amazing non-profit charity website that allows you to lend as little as $25 to a specific low-income entrepreneur across the globe. You choose who to lend to – whether a baker in Afghanistan, a goat herder in Uganda, a farmer in Peru, a restaurateur in Cambodia, or a tailor in Iraq – and as they repay the loan, you get your money back.
Once you’ve got your money back you can withdraw it or simply lend it again. At Eseyo we are currently funding three projects throughout the World, and when this load is returned to us we will re-loan it to another project.
I want to recruit you to my lending team, Eseyo and Friends, on Kiva, a non-profit website. If you join my lending team, we can work together to alleviate poverty. Once you’re a part of the team, you can choose to have a future loan on Kiva “count” towards our team’s impact. The loan is still yours, and repayments still come to you – but you can also choose to have the loan show up in our team’s collective portfolio, so our team’s overall impact will grow!
I’ve dontaed via Kiva for years. It is an excellent charity. Well done for supporting it. Next time I loan i’ll join your lending group.

I have just re loaned my $25 to Munira Baya in Kenya, so she can purchase second hand clothes and coconuts for resale, enabling her to support her children’s schooling. What a great site Kiva is, such a good way to help others.
Reeshof,
thanks for the comment. The way that Kiva works is that you deposit a minimum of $25, and you can then choose an individual project to count your amount towards. As soon as the total project fund has been reached by you and other similar donators, this money is disbursed and the loan begins. You’ll then receive regular repayments of this loan and once it is fully repaid you can start the process again lending to another worthy project. On the Kiva site you can select which project you want to donate to. Check it out by visiting http://www.kiva.org.
Scott.
